Here's a few vehicles we're working on now. We're removing the existing top assemblies and replacing them with the tan fiberglass tops seen in the picture. The two door and four door has already been retrofitted and the one in the background will be a two door as well. Also adding the tan light bars that has visible and IR driving lights. Not costing the taxpayers a dime...my kids and one of their friends are on summer break and they are doing the work for the experience...and of course the food

What does it take to get one of those street legal to get a registration?

Curious because you never see regular people in them since the '90s.

Not sure it's possible. There was an agreement between the .gov and AMC not to surplus them to the public. Damn them!

Pretty much the case. Aside from the HMMWV, there were some vehicles that agencies could own and subsequently liquidate after a period of time (usually a year) and now even those vehicles are being taken off the list as the last few months. So basically, you can't get a title for something that the gov't still owns.
