| can eat a bag of dicks. Anybody have opinions on Dish or Directv? |
| I've had directv for years. I'm happy with them. Weather outages are a non issue. Customer service is the same as any other big company. There isn't one person that can do everything. You'll get routed from person to person to get shit fixed. Other than that, they're ok. |

I have had Dish for about 10 years and never had a major problem they didn't go out of their way to resolve. I left Charter for them and never looked back. When I moved I simply took my receiver and they put up a new dish for free without having to cancel/resetup. Rarely have weather outages either. Joe

I have had directv for years and love them. As far as tv goes that is. NFL Sunday ticket cannot be removed once it's started, if you ever have it and are a football fan you'll lose your mind if you think you can live without it.
I have comcast for internet, and it's the fastest/best hands down...customer service is horrid. Employees are rude, you have to be on the phone for 3 hours to solve the most simple one click issue. You can TELL them what the problem is and his to fix it and it still takes forever. But, gitta have it for school and personnel entertainment so I deal with it. If you get directv you can get $10 off for both of us if you want, I'm fine with it. |

| I had comcast for years and now have directtv and to be honest with you there is not a lick of difference in either of them. Both have big ass company customer service that don't care. Both of thems shit goes out about as much as the other. I lost my signal everytime the wind blew more than a gentle breeze or it rained more than a heavy mist. Finally got them to move my antenna higher up my roof out from under the trees once I finally upgraded my package of course. That's the only way I could ever get anyone to come out to the house! The only thing comcast has over direct is internet service is awesome. Direct tried to get me to take the low life windstream. That's the absolute worst of the worst from anyone I have ever known that had it. Were all to damn spoiled now days to just put up with free tv. Don't miss the old antenna and 4 or 5 channels we make our kids get out there and turn it when you changed channels until you got the least fuzzy picture. |
| I'm being bent over a barrel by comcast. $180/month for basic with high def package and internet. Customer service sucks, and I was told the only way to lower my bill without changing anything was to move. I've got YouTube and Netflix, so I would be fine with internet only but my 8yr old probably wouldn't.... |

My service has been nearly flawless. |

Dish here for about 10 years. Its gtg for TV. Reception is great. Its dependable. Service has been fine. Cloud coverage takes it out maybe twice a year for a few minutes at a time.
Its OK for internet. I'm used to faster speeds at my work computer. I would use someone else for internet if I had a choice but no fiber, DSL, or wireless options where I live.

Not an option for zip 31021.... Up to 4 channels from 2 over-the-air stations may be received at this location... Guess I'll keep DishNetwork. td |
|
My main gripe about directv is that picture reception went to hell every time it rained or the wind was blowing over 5 mph.
And way to many info commercials and religious programing. Other than that everything was fine. Oh , and they kept going up on the bill . gd |

Comcast![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Have the best customer dis-service I have ever experienced. They call constantly making you confirm appointments trying their best to get out of them. Have been called as many as three times the day of trying to get me to miss one confirmation so they could cancel. I have called so many times with problems the people over seas seem like old friends. Yes I still have them as a provider. |
we have Comcast, it's very expensive but the internet is always very fast and reliable. i have to agree that their CS is the pits. they have come out numerous times for a issue with our digital HD box in the living room, they still can't fix it. the other cable provider here in Augusta was worse

We have Comcast internet and phone. Yes, Comcast customer service is terrible, but their internet is second to none. Where I live, Comcast is the only choice for cable internet. We had Windstream dsl internet and phone and it was horrible to put it nicely.
We've been with DirecTV for 9 years and haven't had any problems. I have never had a bad customer service call with them. One thing to note about Dish, if you are a Braves fan, they are still blocking the weekend games. There is some dispute between Dish and Fox SportSouth/SportSouth. Cheers! georgiadawg |

The ONLY reason I use comcast is Internet....ATT DSL sucks ass, Although I hear ATT is Installing some Fiber gigabyte a min. badass system in
select citys {Mine being one, ATL} Back on Topic, Comcast Internet only, broadcast TV for local news and whatnot....movies via laptop, with HDMI to my TV.... I am a happy person with my setup |

Now that's f'in hilarious. Truth in advertising would be a hoot. |
