Well I need to get a 12" miter blade sharpened. The place I found (in Athens) is cheap to get it done, $16, but there is around a 2 week turnaround time. I'm laying laminate floors in my house and I'm trying to get it done, and going two weeks without being able to lay flooring just won't due. I hate having the house half done and crap being misarranged.
Anyone know of any other shops in the NE area that can sharpen blades a tad quicker. I'm trying not to buy another blade because they're around $55-70. Cutting with a dull blade is doable, but it takes forever to cut. I don't mind dropping off on a Monday and picking up on a Friday, but the weekend is where I'm really able to get cracking on the floors. |

Engineered flooring is murder on saw blades. I'm really surprised anyone will sharpen a 60-80 tooth blade for $16. Local place is .40/tooth.
I think I'd go get one of These, finish the job, and consider the blade disposable. The 32 tooth in this pack might chip/splinter your laminate. Remember to cut good side up. |
