| Just passed by there in Newnan and saw what appears to be crime scene tape and a WSB news van. Anybody heard anything? |
|
Just saw that on the news. Never been there, but was surprised there were no concrete barriers in front of the store when looking at the video on the news.
Hope they catch the thugs soon, or the thugs decide to do society a favor and off themselves. Yes, I hate thieves. |
| my brother shops their a lot. says when you walk in all the suppressors are on the left where they went in the video. man. thats a dangerous crime to do with 3 people. I hope one of them talks and they get busted. the owner was stupid to leave out so many rifles. didnt look like their was a good security gate on the windows. This will happen more and more as society gets more fucked up. |

AJC story with surveillance video:

I was down there a few weeks ago. They had a lot of high end stuff on the racks, HK's, Sig 716's and such. Wouldn't take too many of them to add up to $70K. Was the surveillance video shown on the news? The video of the break in was on the news, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of them or all three have been recorded in that store during the day casing the place out |

Don't a lot of places tediously put their guns in safes or a vault daily? I'm sure it sucks but it may be required by insurance here soon. I can't name one single shop I've ever been in that did this. Ever. In the entire US. But you know, I don't get out much. Bottom line this shop needed concrete barriers in front of the shop to stop attempts like this. |

Some of the sporting goods stores I have worked in locked up handguns or certain long guns. ARs, defense shotguns, etc. Very tedious and annoying, but definitely would limit access, insurance, liability and such. But I agree with Hippies, no real gun shop does this that I know of. |

Stay tuned....
I had a long conversation with Lee Morris, the owner, last night. They are determined to not let this setback hurt them. They were open Sunday after the event and they are usually closed on Sundays. Lee intends to have something of a "Customer Appreciation Day/Grand Re-Opening" within the next couple weeks. Should be a cool event and it is something in which I will participate for sure. I hate thieves and will do what I can to show AR Bunker my support. I am sure they have something there I need to buy. Little would have stopped this event. If the bad guys want in, they'll get it. Oh yeah, and get this. Say what you want about the ATF, but there is a local ATF agent that lives not far from the shop. Not a regular customer or anything, but a guy who lives nearby. He came by right after the event and asked what he could do to help. He picked up a broom and helped clean up the shop. That's pretty awesome right there. Mark |

It's a shame because they are one of the better gun stores around. During the gun panic last year, they refused to gouge the customers by artificially raising the prices of ammo. I asked Lee about it and he said that they were there for the long haul and didn't think gouging their customers would be good for business. Eventually the panic would be over and they didn't want to have everyone upset with them. That earned my respect and money.
Luckly, I live about half a mile from them. |

| This is one of my home town shops. I do a lot of business with Lee and the gang. They are a great shop and have become great friends over the years. Come on out and show your support! They are always fair and offer excellent service. I also appreciate that they are all shooters. They work hard to stay on top of things and know what they are talking about. Let's show them that a couple of thieves cannot slow them down. |

Quoted: Landlord would not let them . They are open , I went in today Quoted: Quoted: I have access to a coring machine and tons of 6" schedule 40 pipe. Some one supply the concrete and we can provide them a row of free bollards. Landlord would not let them . They are open , I went in today Yeah, B&B Outdoors originally wasn't allowed to put in security bars or bollards by their landlord, until after they had a similar robbery a few years back. |

Yeah, I'd be willing to bet the situation changes for the bunker. |

Dixie Firearms on 124 (been out of business for a while), Bernie's on Killian Hill (also out of business) and Buford Guns and Ammo (also closed) and I think Big Gun Armory does now since they got robbed a year ago the same way. |

Huh, I see a pattern here. It's a waste of time and resources. It's hard on the employees and the guns. |
. I'm surprised AR Bunker didn't put anything in to prevent that sort of smash and grab.
