Gable's Sporting Goods in Douglasville. There also used to be a place in Marietta that was near Dobbins. Don't know if it is still there.

Man I luv to bowhunt!! my best advice is to get a car or truck good on gas and ride out!! I will say if ur on facebook try to get on hardcore bowhunting group. also check out gon bowshop recommend list thread.

part two do a lil research on bows they are like gun all pretty much do the samething but in lil diff ways. I hear their is a good shop in rome ga I think southern outdoors if I recall right. my fav shop is treetop in carrollton carl is great guy to get you started. very good CS. also look for shops that is bow only and not lil of everything.

Bowtech is what I shoot, also look at pse, obsession, bear, elite lines are great bows.... look at websites for listed dealers!!

PM if anything I can help with.

Did they reopen somewhere?  He had closed a while back.  They were the only place I'd go around here.  Great guy, great service.  If he's open again, please tell me where!

Don't feel bad Fro....I drive to Charleston, SC now to get mine worked on.

I wasn't aware they had closed. I haven't shot my bow this year, so I didn't swing by there. That sucks. Was my favorite place to take my bow.

I be honest I have not found a shop around me that I really liked. Most seem to be part time bow shops. WV is mostly all bow hunting state, and shop I use there does not even sale guns, archery only. I go up there visiting and hunting several times a year so its no big deal to swing threw to see them while I'm there.

Yea i'd love to find a decent range. Big woods is kind of a drive and the range is a little mediocre for archery. It's hard to find decent archery places in Atlanta.

I got my bow in Gainsville from a place called Foxhole. They were great and spent some time with me setting up my bow and even doing some paper tuning. A guy named Dale helped me and I'll definitely go back.

How many of these shops being mentioned are bow only? IMO the bow only shop will give you cs cause that is how they make their money from sales of repeating business and those archers word of mouth advertising. And the ones in these shops are die hard shooters and probably have yrs of experience to back them.

I know Bowhunter supply, Treetop archery both in Carrollton, Southern archery (I think) in Gainesville are bow only. Their probably more best to check the bow section in GON will give better idea!

I will add The Hunting Shack in Cartersville. I went by there and shot the new 2014s Hoyt has out. The place is small, but had several of the new 2014s on the shelf.

Dawgg who do you use?

I stopped by Big Woods Goods and they set me up.  Helped me pick what I want without trying to sell me anything I didn't want.  I'm new to archery and what they told me matched my research so I felt like I could trust them.  Would recommend them to anybody.
