Has anyone purchased anything from Ice Arms?  I like their lower kit as well as the nitrided 16" barrel and BCG.

Thoughts?

I bought 2 BCGs  a few weeks ago.

Redacted.  Apparently there has been some internal stuff going down.

I got their NiB BCG, It looks great and shoots great. But I also got one of their melonite 5.56 barrels and cases get jammed in it, it has tight tolerances if you ask me. Usually have to use something to get  the case out. They do say they have a lifetime warranty and I can send it back to them at any time if I am not satisfied. I am going to give one more shot at the range before I send it back to them.

They were going through some extremely delayed shipping times but I think they have gotten that straightened out. After talking to Colin over the phone, I believe they are good guys trying to bring something different to the community - Quality parts at reasonable prices and they want to stand behind their products. I dont think they were ready for the rush they received with their BCG's when they were released.

I've looked into their nib bcg's but all I've heard about nib  bcg's are about wmd, spikes, or fail zero... I wonder how ice compares to them?

I was disappointed in them running my CC through Canada and costing me an additional 6 bucks in fees.

I have a bolt carrier and an 11.5 inch barrel.  Seems to be good stuff.

if i were you i would not order anything from them at the moment. i will not be ordering anything from them ever again.

their customer service is shit and they seem more interested in pimping their new upcoming rifle and advertising for new orders than fulfilling existing orders. they're impossible to reach, their phone number goes directly to voicemail, they don't return emails, and they've all but abandoned their sub-forum here. and like someone above said, they process your card through Canada so you pay a foreign transaction fee.

take a look through their industry sub before you decide to place an order.

I had a hard time with them as well. Either their inventory system is shit or they purposely mislead you to believe things are in stock. It took me over a month to get a NiB BCG out of them. And the whole CC fee and actually being from Canada not the US is lame also. The parts are cheap, and there's a reason.

I won't be going back. If you want a no name BCG like they sell, check out JoeBobs, and if you want a nice nitrided barrel check out ARPerformance. Don't say you weren't warned.

i ordered a barrel from them a while back, got it in a timely manner. did not notice any foreign card charge either.

that said, id rather buy a bcg from aim surplus for 100 shipped... good solid reputable people with excellent CS. no need to buy from startup hacks who jammed everyone during the panic. stick with the proven folks who didn't ass rape us when times were tough.

Their feedback in the industry forum would be enough to make me look elsewhere...

i had ordered from them one time before when they were first starting up and had no problems. the bcg was alright so i didn't think to check the forum before i ordered this time. totally my fault for not doing my legwork.

I ordered from them once and get occasional emails. Their last one had a statement along the lines of 'if you arent buying an NiB BCG from us, WMD or FailZero, its not real NiB'. It just stinks of arrogance and bad business tactics. There are many small plating/machine shops out there that do numerous coatings and do them correctly.

I ordered their Phosphate C-158 bolt and a QD end plate on Oct 21.  It was shipped on the same day and i received it today.  Both the items are very well made (fit and finish).  I have not installed either of them on my AR so I can not report on the functionality.  But overall i had a very good experience dealing with them.  They also answered my email within a days time.

I will definitely be doing more business with this company again.

Weird.  I sent two emails through the website asking about availability of the LPK and didn't get a response.  I found a sale on Palmetto for a Magpul MOE LPK in FDE for $50 so I jumped on it.
