let me take a crack at it. i believe he's referring to the general level of malnutrition in Somalia where people tend to be exceedingly skinny (hence the term "skinnies") leading them to have very underdeveloped torsos and lower bodies which in turn makes their head appear larger than average, thusly the "walking exclamation points" which would have been better described as "inverted walking exclamation points".
as for the riff about the president i'm going to theorize that he's trying to use an association with somalis to push the idea that he is african born. |

From what I've gathered it's a joke by those who advocate small government and liberty. A typical liberal response is "If you don't want government, why don't you just move to Somalia?" |

How I hate that place. That was a winnable conflict, but politics tied our hands so bad that we ended up leaving the country in the hands of a bunch of thugs that weren't much different from Crips and Bloods. Sorry.
I work or used to work with several guys that were at the Battle of Mogadishu. In the move, Eric Bana's character (real name is Norm "Hoot" Hooten) was one of the lead firearms instructors for my agency. The guy in the movie that was bitching cuz he got shot in the ass and his girlfriend doesn't like scars, works with me now. American casualties: 18 KIA, 80 wounded Somali casualties: 1,500 killed, 3,000 wounded |
