who sells 80% lowers here in GA?
Thanks |

I've never seen them for sale locally, but they don't require an FFL so you can order them from various vendors online, I have one from Desert Warrior Products (check the industry forum) that I need to work on, there's a thread in the Build it Yourself forum about sources for 80% lowers... http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_4/620512_80_percent_lowers.html Of course, I ordered several through RocketHub fundraisers, if I get all of those, I'll probably sell a couple of spares (this may be heresy, but there IS a limit to how many AR-15's one person needs, if nothing else, I'm running out of space in my safe, and I haven't even built all of the factory lowers I own). |

I looked into getting 80% lowers, and tooling up to make my own from scratch....then I looked at how much time I would have to put into finishing them and realized I would just buy em. Between time, cost and effort, the best bet is to buy them professionally. That way you don't have to worry about slipping here or there and scrapping the whole deal.
I also weighed the serial number thing.....and came to 3 conslusions. 1. What does it matter if it has a serial number, unless you are going for a specific number....or need a "Clean gun" for whatever reason. 2. If they tried to confiscate by hitting dealers, We will surely know about it in time to "Sell them to some dude on the internet" 3. If you're doing it because you cant legally buy one....just buy it from someone who cant run your numbers like all the other lazy criminals do. Unless one just wants to build it up from an 80%......then why not just buy a band saw and drill press and make one from a 0% chunk of aluminum. I mean come one, anyone can drill a few holes, hell theres a guy on here that made an A.K. from a shovel.... |
