I am thinking of putting in a few form 1s.  Anyone tried to get forms signed off on by one of Clarke County's CLEOs.

I have a few reasons for going the individual route that I will not go into.

Lumpkin will not sign off.  The sheriff used to sign off for LEOs.  Not sure of his current stance.

Last I heard ole Ira Edwards will sign off on them. But, you could go the trust route and avoid it all together.

Kyle, why doesn't Chief Lumpkin sign off on them?

I never got a good answer from him on the issue.  If I remember right, he referenced a decision/vow that he made when he became chief many years ago.

ETA:  I haven't worked for ACC in about 15 months.  Otherwise, I'd ask again.

Thanks guys.  I have heard before that Ira Edwards wouldn't sign off on them.  Good to know.  I will call over there and verify shortly.

I'm sure this is answered elsewhere, but if you don't have a trust and the CLEO won't sign off, what other recourse to you have?

Move or start your own business.

Get quicken willmaker and make a trust.  Its what those of us in Jackson county had to do before our new sheriff.
