I was wondering if anyone knows of a place to get my AR15 engraved for a SBR Form 1?

I would much rather not ship.

I live in Marietta.

Where on the receiver did you get it engraved?  and what were the options?  I've got one I'd like to get engraved before I send  the form 1.  M92 Pap Pistol.

Try Steve at Trophy Hut on Austel Rd. He is a gun guy, but I have not asked him to engrave a lower yet.

He even came in on a Saturday to do mine while I waited.  I couldn't leave it with him because I got my form 1 back before having it engraved.

How are you planning on attaching the stock? I'm planning on doing this too, but haven't decided on how.

I'll have to give him a call.  I'd like to have mine engraved on the bottom, in front of the magwell but not sure I can fit all the info there.

Are you guys engraving:

I'm planning to use one of the Ace folding adapters that will accept an AR buffer tube.  Will put a CTR stock and MIAD grip on it.  Was considering an ultimak, but don't think that will fit on the Pap, so I may use MI or USPalm handguards even though I don't really need a quad rail.

Going for the "Gardner Draco" look.  Will end up with a RDS and light.  Would love to mount my 7.62 SD on the end if I can find someone to do all the work correctly.

I usually prefer traditional type stocks on AK's, but that is a sweet setup.

How do the engravings look?

I ask because I had a local trophy shop do one of mine and I was really disappointed with the result.  Lots of annodizing ended up chipping off between letters, etc.

$45 is the same price Ident Marking services charges, though this would be quiker + no shipping fees.

I'm just a bit gun shy after my last experience.

My sentiments exactly.  Before seeing that thread 1-2 years ago I never really saw one with AR accessories on it that I liked that much.

Still trying to weed out the differences in the Pap and the Draco to make this work.  Draco's were dried up well before Sandy Hook, but I stumpled on the Pap shortly after.
