I just purchased one and am very disappointed, the spring is very weak and the firing button is very gritty and hard to depress. Any ideas on if this is normal, is it easy to fix, or should I send it back to factory?
Thank you |
| I bought an auto stryker from them years ago and it went back to the factory half a dozen times before i gave up on it. I hate it and its current home is at the bottom of a drawer where it never gets used. The opening mechanism is weak and just gets weaker as its used. I cant speak for the newer designs but thats my only experience with a benchmade auto. I love the other benchmade knives that i own, but i recommend pro tech and microtech for autos to friends and acquaintances. |
| I have a Benchmade Presidio as well as a Benchmade-made H&K and both are awesome. The Presidio (looks like the pic above except mine has a black blade) needed a little adjustment recently. I just backed off of the screw and put a couple of drops of oil in there. Good as new. You may want to check with Benchmade before sending it back. Seems like I read somewhere that they wouldn't send it back to you unless you were military, LEO, fire, etc. |
