I was excited when it was first announced that they were remaking red dawn.........then I saw that Josh Peck and that hunger games kid was in it
it's like they got hemsworth to fill the roll of swayze and then gave up on a sheen replacement idk maybe it's just nostalgia |

i'll go see it, but i will keep in mind that PC runs rampant these days and will expect nothing to be even close but the title of the movie. Well they changed the enemy in the movie from china to N Korea. N Korea couldnt afford to invade themselves let alone come over here. |

Well they changed the enemy in the movie from china to N Korea. N Korea couldnt afford to invade themselves let alone come over here. I just had to quote that. So true. I did 2 tours in SK back in the 90's. During some of the head games the Norks would play, they moved a large % of their mobile forces up near the border. When they didn't move back after a bit, people got worried. Turns out the intel we picked up showed that they were out of gas and couldn't have moved back right away if they had wanted to. |

There is a preview showing of Red Dawn tonight at 8:00 PM at Atlantic Station in Midtown and I have a few extra passes for it. They only release a limited number of passes, but they do not guarantee entry (they make more passes available than seats because they want to make sure the theater is full). So I plan to arrive between 7:00 and 7:30. Josh Peck, the guy that plays Matt Eckert, is also suppose to be there for some sort of Q&A afterwards.
Let me know if you are interested in going. I already have one pair of passes (but I am only using one of them, I can share the other). For the second pair, I will send you the claim code and you have to go to a promotional website to claim that pair. |

I think I'll pass. Trailer just doesn't look right to me. Hard to beat the original especially since I was around the same age of the characters in the first one. Mo If you can get past the first five minutes or so, the movie is worth watching. The camera work is pretty shaky during nearly every action scene and that made me motion sick (I was sitting way up front which I don't normally do, but I had no other choice because the theater was full). |
