My Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle finally came in as of 7/30/12 and I picked it up 8/1/12.  It was very close to being 11 months on order.

I sent 30 rounds down range Saturday from 10-25 yards all free hand so I can't say I was doing very well with it, but the rifle works wells.  I need a sling for it badly.

Finally got around to taking a few pics a bit ago.

Buy a Ching Sling. It's the only piece of leather worthy of that rifle.

I have a GSR with a 762SDN-6 and have equipped it similarly.

Fantastic stick.

Those are such sweet rifles.  I wish I knew you were looking for one.  My FFL has had one on his shelf since Feb. of this year.  You could have gotten it for demo price even.  They are sweet shooters.  We used it to set off a few pounds of Southern Thunder.  It is still there if you need another one.

Dude!  That thing's hideous!  You better send it to me for safe disposal.  I'll even pay the shipping.

Kinda similar, but supposedly made by Ruger.

I've read a bit on the Ching Sling, but I'm not that fond of putting a hole in it for the 3rd attachment point.  I'm used to using a 2 point and twisting the sling to make it more stable.  (is there a proper term for what I just described?)

There are a few terms for it.

Some Marine / LEO from Cali chewed me out for not saying "Hasty Sling" or something, but he certainly wasn't the brightest Marine I ever bumped into.

Nice rifle.

The irons on mine are off quite a bit that I cannot adjust out.  Are yours dead on?

The sights appear to be right on for me, but I really haven't gone beyond 25 yards.

Mine are so far off, it shows at even 25 yards.  Need to send it in like they suggested.
