Without a scanner, whats the best / easiest way to get a 35mm slide ready to be emailed as an attachment.    Thanks

I don't know of a way other than a scanner or a white box and a macro lens on a camera. I understand they have scanners that are made just for negatives.

I bought one of those dedicated slide scanners and could never get it to work worth a crap.

Best I have is an old Microtek scanner that has an illuminator attachment for slide scanning, but it's a SCSI and none of my current computers have SCSI.
Adding a SCSI adapter that operates off USB would cost as much as a new scanner.

My Canon flatbed doesn't scan slides all that well, even with a reflector.
Haven't tried it with the new all-in-one.

I will say that when it does all come together, pics from slides can look really good.

If it is a slide and not a negative, you could project it and take a photo of the screen. Of course, there are places that can convert it for you. I haven't used one, but I an sure they are out there.
