| Anybody ever been to Gallery 63? I saw the show Auction Kings and it looked like they might have some interesting stuff. Then again, the show is only 30 minutes so they might have a couple interesting things and a bunch of crap you don't get to see on TV. |

I went there a few years ago, they had everything that you could think of as far as antique household items the day that I went. The small items like a chair up to a complete Irish Mahogony bar that had been disassembled.
I have a decent idea what antique furniture is worth and some items went really cheap and some items brough much more than they were worth. There were a few wealthy looking ladies there bidding items up way past the value, I was wondering if they were the owners of the stuff and just driving up the price. The auction moved along pretty well. |

I've heard first hand accounts of people being "seeded" in the crowd to bolster bids. Needless to say I stay away I've always assumed that's a given at auctions. I know what I'd pay for any particular item so I would just lose the item once it got past a certain price. I was just wondering it they had cool stuff there and if it would be work driving up from the south side. |

The word scam comes to mind! I've heard first hand accounts of people being "seeded" in the crowd to bolster bids. Needless to say I stay away Lol, you should try going to a gun auction! At the one I went to in Mountain City every gun went retail+, the reasonable prices were few and far between. |
