I've got a 1970 Georgia Vehicle Inspection Sticker for my '70 SS 396.
Am I correct in remembering that these were located on the driver's side of the windshield in 1970? I've tried finding old pictures of cars, windshields, junkyards, etc. and can't find a pic. I'm pretty sure it was on the driver's side, but I'm not 100% positive. I don't want to stick it on the wrong side. Any help would be appreciated.

I am 99.9% certain that they went in the lower driver's side corner of the windshield. The way I remember this is that I had one that expired (~about~ 1978), and for whatever year it was, the color of the sticker was red. I remember I found a red t-shirt to wad up on the dash behind the sticker so that it was a bit more difficult to see which month had the hole punched in it.... 
Never got a ticket for it, so it musta worked! 
ETA: my car wasn't as sexy as a Boss Mustang or an SS 396.... I had a '72 Pinto....

ETA: my car wasn't as sexy as a Boss Mustang or an SS 396.... I had a '72 Pinto.... I had a '73 Pinto Runabout back in the day. When my inspection sticker expired, my dad would just get me one from the local service station and send it to me in the mail.
My roomate at Ft Bragg, had a Chevelle with a 454. He used to drive to Virginia every weekend to see his gf. Got tired of paying the gas $, and asked me if we could swap cars on the weekends. I was like  .
