The Army unit I am now attached to got 3 connex's full of stuff that one of the Marine units were getting rid of. One of the PFC's found bunch of DET cord, blasting caps and pressure plates in one of the conex's yesterday while going thru all the stuff in there to find things we can use. He brought it to WO Lenz and was asking for batteries. I thought Lenz was going to shit a brick when I told Smith I had some in my tool box. He said his guys get in enough trouble without me helping them. I just said I'm a Marine and we like to blow shit up. He got all the stuff and took it down to EOD for them to play with. (spoil sport)

One of my guys found 6 .50 Cal API rounds. Unfortunately I don't have anything here to shoot them through.

You will never guess what we found in the hydraulic tank on this PLS today. This is a first for me.

It still didn't fix the truck but who knows what is in the system and where it is. I told WO2 Rojas this afternoon that we are going to have to remove and disassemble all the control valves and hydraulic manifolds to find and remove any trash that is causing the pressure to dump off. I think he is going to just turn it in to Oshkosh for rebuild and sign out a new one to replace this one. I told him that we can expect a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks to work this one out. He said he can't have it down that long and said he will just make it Oshkosh's problem and not to worry. He will let me know for sure in the morning.

I couldn't make this stuff up. Here is a pic to give you a hint.

I truly think an ingenious plumber invented those things.  Prob made a fortune from the product and another fortune from the problems they cause when disposed in the wrong locations.
