What’s the best way to widen the opening at the bottom of my kydex holster? Should I use heat like a soldering iron or go with sandpaper? Need to make room for threaded barrel.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Actually, a good hair dryer will do it.  I use a heat gun, but used a hair dryer for years.  Heat it up and push the pistol through.

hair dryer or dip it in a pot of boiling water, if you just want to modify one small area and don't have any experience with it at all, take a damp rag and lay over the kydex and only expose the area to be heated, this way you don't heat too much up and start losing shape to parts you don't want to.

I'd probably use my Dremel with the small sanding drum and slowly modify the opening to accept the threaded barrel.  I've done some work on Kydex holsters with my Dremel, with successful results.
