| I have a Taurus Judge 2 3/4 ultralight that is not timed correctly you cant fire 3 rounds without locking up the cylinder... Should I send it back in for warranty or take it to a smith ? |
|
not being a funny guy, but both main gunshops here in town, send back 50% of those suckers, they sell, and that's the ones people bring back to them. your not alone in your Taurus pain. to be fair to Taurus they do repair them. some companies need a lifetime warranty.
most people i talk to that are knowledgable, say that Taurus has tried to bring up their image and products. i really don't know, i've never owned one. hope it works out for you |

guy with work is friend with a competent gunsmith in savannah. he says the taurus has soft metal parts (internals). he repairs a lot of them Funny you mention that, the one I shipped back, the trigger, uhhhhh, welllll, FELL OUT OF! The internal pin broke and the trigger just kinda came loose. It seems as though Taurus made MUCH better firearms right after they acquired S&W's machinery. The last 10 years or so seems to have seen a steady decline in their quality, even tho their ingenuity seems to be on the rise.....

*sigh*
Send it back. Get it fixed (hopefully) and returned (eventually). Dump it on the next poor sucker shooting enthusiast. Go buy a pre-lock Smith & Wesson. Pour the shot out of those "Defense" shotshells, make fishing sinkers. Go fishing. Live happily ever after. ![]()
