I don't know how common this trigger is out there, but figured I would share anyway.

In an effort to do something about the cobbled together bunch of pebbles, twigs and small bits of shark skin that I believe were used to construct the factory trigger system in my 308 AR, I purchased the JP adjustable trigger system. I looked around the web, asked a few people about their experiences here, etc., and ended up settling on this one. I had gotten some good feedback about it from a few people, and the price seemed reasonable compared to all the options out there.

While this was not my first time installing a fire control group into an AR, this was my first time with something other than the standard LPK stuff, so I was a little apprehensive about it. If any of you out there are in that boat, get out of it. It wasn't bad at all.

This particular kit came with a little booklet with some outlined steps and a troubleshooting guide, but far more valuable was the instructional DVD. They say to read the manual as well, but I found the video to be perfectly adequate.

The fit and function of the parts was fine - everything fit properly and I never felt like I was having to force anything. Likewise, there is no rattle or excessive play in the assembly, either.

I did have to take a tiny bit of material off the disconnector hook, as it was causing late travel, catching and would not allow the trigger to be pulled again. According to the manual, though, this is normal, and when I say a "tiny" bit, I mean it was barely any at all.

I have not made it out to the range yet to test it in live fire, but from dry-firing everything is great, and I am so far very pleased with my first trigger job. It is easier to pull the trigger without squeezing really hard, minor shaking or extensive "pull time". The trigger has ZERO movement in it when the safety is on, yet toggling the safety lever is not difficult. The break is lighter and much crisper, as well as more consistent than before, and I like that I have the ability to change that as I please by simply adjusting two small screws.

While I do not have any other AR triggers to compare it to, I will say that I am very pleased with it so far, and would recommend it as a good option to anyone looking to do this themselves. Like I said, no range time with it yet, but I will try to update with a report from that here if I can remember to, whenever I can find a time/place to get out.

I have one as well. The only quirk I have is that there is a twang when it resets. I am sure its easy enough to adjust it away from that, but it works and its been reliable.

I've installed several for customers and they've always done well.  The only thing I can think to emphasize is make sure the adjustment screws are properly cleaned and loc-tited...   ...is that a word? Loc-tited?  Ah well...
