never leave early.... We finished with the clean up, rolled up the tarps, took down the targets, I figured the fun was done. I should have known better. There was still a big bag of ammonium nitrate sitting around and a bunch of guy with center fire rifles. It doesn't take long to figure out what happened.

It's no fun when everyone goes home early and the place is a mess - I made that mistake once! To actually answer your questions, it was the remainder of the bag you saw. About 12# iirc. I haven't had good luck saving a portion of a bag for another day. Maybe Jeffco (?) can let us know if that is possible to do. |

I knew I was leaving and made it a point to pick up trash and spent casings during the day I left my weight limit sign and stand for future use... hmmm... I re-read my previous post. I wasn't meaning to call out anyone who had to leave early. I know everyone has a life outside of arfcom. Those who left early did help before they left, there was only so much to do behind the firing line. At that point it just made sense to go cold and get the big mess taken care of rather than telling people we will get to it later. I did that once only to find out the hard way that the remaining people were on a strict time schedule for their kids and couldn't stay to help clean up. Thanks for the target! |

ETA #2.... stump grinder shmump grinder. We don't need no stinkin' stump grinder. Nope ya got that one wrong GaHunter.... Whoever it was, was looking for BLUE muffs NOT RED muffs! And as you can see from the pics, my son and I pretty much had them surgically implanted for the whole event! It's kinda nice being the only ones with RED muffs it makes it really easy to spot yourself in any pics posted!!!

EMU!! Ok, ok, that excuse will suffice....... *THIS TIME* ![]()
You earned your right to your excuse by telling us on day 1, page 2 of the original GHTF FALL SHOOT thread that you had a legitmate (shooting) conflict. But hey, I wouldn't give ya grief if I didn't think you'd be a great addition to the outing!!!! (or maybe it was the cake I was mostly thinking about.... I wish you coulda made it. I'll readily admit that we missed you AND your cake!!!!!!! As for next time: MISS AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!!!!!! |
