I'm looking at buying a used Savage 10FP in the 24" configuration. Does anyone have a list of the serial numbers and the year manufactured? It has a H133xxx serial number. I couldn't find much with google.

To me the only thing that would matter would be Pre-accutrigger/ post accutrigger. Did you see pics of it?

Yeah, it has the accutrigger. I was concerned because he wants new price for the rifle. I'm willing to pay it because of the 24" barrel, but was just curious to when it was built.

Mine came with a 24" barrel, and I've had it for 5 years, and it also has the accutrigger. I don't know why he would want a NIB price for a used gun. You can get them now with threaded barrels too, so an old gun should fetch a lower price, in theory anyway...

IMO it's not new once it has left the store. does it have the HS or McMillan stock? Does this guy keep a shot record for every gun he own? If not I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it.

BTW I have had a 24 with a HS precision and a 20 with a B&C and there really wasn't that much difference in accuracy but a big difference in weight.

It does have a thumbhole stock that is free floated and bedded. I am unsure on the brand though. How can you tell if it is HS or McMillan?

Thats an aftermarket or factory varmint stock. 10FPs came generally with a $40 plastic factory stock. I would pay 450 or less for that gun and I love my savages. Then I would buy a bell and carlson stock and learn yourself on basic skim bedding.

That looks like a Boyd aftermarket stock.

+1 no more than 450. The stock looks like a Boyds.
