So I have an odd kinda question. I have been put in charge of some banking for my Church. The man who had it before has his health going down and gave it up. Question is, is there a way to find out if you have a Tax ID and what it is? He said he thinks we do but I cant find it in any of the boat load of records. I need this for setting up a checking account and he closed the account where he was at which was set up many many moons ago. Any help is appreciated !
Thanks

Or if there are people on the payroll, ask them to provide it off their pay stub/W2

Look at the third step, that's the number to call.  Tax ID = EIN number for most types of businesses.  That should get you going.

It is but apparently they need this to prove that the Church exist.
