| i picked up my laptop to use, and dropped it on the floor! it landed right on the power cable where it plugs into the back of the laptop and broke the connector. damnit! damnit! shit! fuck! |
| actually, the problem might not seem all that bad to you guys anyways. its the actual plug that goes into the laptop that broke. easy fix: buy a new power chord. but the huge problem is that a couple months ago, i cracked the screen pretty bad. so its not worth buying a new power chord for this thing! the laptop is just old enough to make it not worth investing repair money into, but my low pay situation is where it will be a month until i can afford another cheapie computer! damnit! oh well, I'll live! a coworkers Facebook're me and said he might have a power chord he can lend me. it might keep ne on ny internetz and on ny feet until i can get another computer! |

sometimes you can find used power cords on the cheap on ebay, amazon, etc.
I had to replace the power cable on my wife's HP laptop last year. It was a PITA to replace, but it was only a $10 part. ETA: the screens are pretty easy to replace yourself. If you google your laptop model #, you can probably find an online repair manual in pdf format. |
