If you look at the ATF firearms stats, Keltec makes as many firearms as many of the major firearms manufacturers. Who'd a thunk it. |

SharpShootersUSA in Roswell had one 5 days ago. No idea on the price. I'll second this. I don't recall the price as it was out my league and my comfortable carry weight. That thing weighs a ton. If push came to shove you could use it as a sledgehammer. So the Ruger P series of the rifle world? carry one of each and have a hammer and sledgehammer |

So the Ruger P series of the rifle world? carry one of each and have a hammer and sledgehammer Remember, we're talking about a .308 here, and by definition they are pretty much always gonna weigh more than a .223 mouse gun. The funny thing about a bullpup, because they're so compact, they feel much heavier than they truly are. A RRA LAR-8 with a 16" bbl weighs 8.1 lbs. A Keltec RFB with an 18" bbl weighs the same 8.1 lbs. It took me a loooooong time to get used to the feel of a bullpup, but once you do, you'll really appreciate the fact that the overall package is shorter than a SBR, but still has a 16"+ bbl. And you save the $$$ and .gov intrusion by not having to buy a tax stamp! As for availability, I've had 2 on order from 2 different distributors for about a year now. I can sho' 'nuff agree that they are just like Ruger's P series in one respect, the hype and magazine articles started in about 1983, but P-85 didn't hit the market til somewhere around 1988ish!
