O support from higher ups and no room to advance.  They have no pay scale either.  Its a clusterfuck department and has been for years because the city won't put money into it to get the pay scale going or to keep new highers there.  Most new hires train a couple years here and leave.

I have heard this. Two of our detectives went out there to question a suspect at their jail and when they came back, they were telling me that I make as much or more than their Captains, and I'm a nobody at a small department.

That agency is a train wreck.  They have been successfully sued several times over the years by their own officers for various offenses.

I have never worked for Macon PD, although i have several friends who are former officers and i do know through mutual friends guys who currently work there.  You can IM me if you need a contact for something specific.
