My wife and I are looking to buy some land North of Atlanta. We are open to lake front, river front, or mountain view lots with 5+ acres ( preferrably 7-10 acres).
We plan on holding the land for an investment for 3-5 years, so I don't want any land that forces you to build a home within two years, etc. Also, I would like a place that would allow me to shoot rifles on my property without the sheriff being called on me everytime some libtard hears a gunshot. If the lot has water and sewer available, or at least a possibility for a well/septic, that is good. Let me know if you see any for sale anywhere that fits the bill. Price wise, I would like to keep it under $150,000. $100,000-120,000 preferred. |

Shooting will be tough on something like that. I'd look for something that borders state or federal land.
I wouldn't consider recreational land an investment past the timber value unless its on a lake or a river(Very Pricy) and even at that its a tough market. Many banks won't even lend on it unless you put a lot more down than you would a house. That makes the potential buyers pool more scarce. |

Henry County Georgia has no 15 acre minimum requirement that I am aware of. The following are the regulations regarding discharging of firearms.
Sec. 3-4-207. Discharging firearms. It shall be unlawful to discharge a firearm within the confines of Henry County: (1) Within fifty (50) yards of a public roadway; (2) Within two hundred (200) yards of the dwelling house of another; (3) Within any zoning district zoned and developed for residential purposes (except R-A zoning); or (4) In such a manner as to endanger another's life, limb or property. Sec. 3-13-4. Parks––Prohibited acts. (a) As used in this section, the term "park" or "recreational area" means a park or recreational area which is under the custody or control of Henry County, Georgia, whether owned or leased by Henry County, and which is used for recreation by the general public. (8) It shall be unlawful for any person: c. To use or discharge any firearm, air rifle or spring gun or destructive device in any park or recreational area. d. For purposes of subsection (c), "firearm" shall mean any weapon that is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive or other frame or receiver of any such weapon, any firearm muffler or firearm silencer. "Destructive device" shall mean any explosive, incendiary, or poison gas (i) bomb, (ii) grenade, (iii) rocket having a propellant charge of more than four (4) ounces, (iv) missile having an explosive or incendiary charge of more than one-quarter ounce, (v) mine, or (vi) device similar to any of the devices described in the preceding clauses; any type of weapon by whatever name known which will, or which may be readily converted to, expel a projectile by the action of an explosive or other propellant, and which has any barrel with a bore of more than one-half inch in diameter; and any combination of parts either designed or intended for use in converting any device into any destructive device described herein from which a destructive device may be readily assembled. |
| I know we don't have an acre minimum but if my calculations are correct you will need 25.9635 acres to discharge a firearm legally in Henry county if the zoning permits. I came up with this by calculating how many square feet where in a 600 foot radius then converting the square feet into acres. |

My grandma is in 7 acres in adaresville and I don't think she is closer than 400 yards from the nearest dwelling and the spot we shoot at is over 100 yards from the road. |

Just trying to make a point.Yes that is true in more rural type counties but you cant throw a rock here anymore without hitting a house ... IT SUCKS ! |
