Howdy All,

I had a WMA range question. Anyone know if they would allow a black powder cannon or two?  I have a couple of BP cannons with 1" bores. I need a place to make some booms. If not I gotta haul em to my land in Bama.

Thanks!

I've fired mine at the WMA range here (Dixon Memorial) a few times and so far no one has complained. But it will only take one a-hole to put an end to that.

Noise I can make in my yard, and golfballs are pretty safe (mortar, high slow lob),  but when I feel the need to send lead downrange I need a site with a GOOD backstop.

Five ounces of lead (1.156" bore dia., 1.125" projectile dia.) at roughly 900 fps packs a wallop!

Same gun, field carriage (along with some mortar porn)...

And this is not nearly all of it!

Nice. I up in the Stone Mountain area so that would be a haul. These things are fun.

I need to go shoot, period, and SOON!!!

One of the things I swore I would do when I got out of that wheelchair and back on my feet earlier this year, was get out and shoot. I've been to the range exactly ONCE since then. Something always happens at the last minute to cancel.

I've still got about 300 of the 500 rounds of .223 I layed up just for range shooting. And I built myself a nice lightweight portable target stand (can't handle those big ones anymore).

And I can bring the big smoker! (see my tag line )

Do all wheels on that rig / hack  have drive splines inside,  i.e.  any wheel can be a rear drive wheel if need be ?

The side car wheel can be engaged via a direct link drive. It should only be used for straight line - get  yourself out of snow/mud/up a hill type situations. And yes - I have been in those situations!
