I have ladders on my other rails and I am starting a build and would like to try an all new setup. What are you guys running?

Thanks

I use Magpul XTM rail covers on all my guns.  They work great except for in the LWRCs.  The LWRCs require you take off the top rail to get to the piston.  The XTMs require you to take them off prior to removing the top rail.

If you like very lowprofile, try LaRue Index Clips.  I am going to switch over to them next month after the holiday rush is over at LaRue.

I have XTM's and they work alright I guess.

If I could start over again I'd go for something with more texturing....or rubberized....something...

I have to admit, I am a huge fan of Knight's Panels. They're old school and they feel....well right I guess.

On my LW build I think it's gonna get some Larue indexclip treatment. We'll see.

Still a big fan of the old school kac covers. Not all rails have the locking slots though... Stipple them and it's a whole new world.

I've always liked the KAC covers but I recently made use of some of the LaRue index clips. Add enough of them and they provide a very low profile rail cover with a little better protection I think than the ladder covers......

I like the KAC, but I like the Tango Down  better. They are super light and very tactile just a little expensive.

I still like the ladders. but that's because I run my support thumb along the top of the 9 o'clock rail and I don't shoot enough at one time to get the gun smoking hot. I don't do the thumb wrap, I just point it like a thumbs forward grip for a pistol.
