| I shall venture out tomorrow into the unknown of a beaver lodge. I dont know what I have instore as of yet. You bet your ass there will be some scattered beaver ass on the ground. Can I get an amen on that one? If i cant get someone to go with me I'm afraid that I will have no video. I am off tomorrow and most everyone else will be working. Wish me luck. I shall return. |

Have fun T. My grandfather and I have fought with beavers for about 10 years. We finally got rid of them with some tannerite. We also learned that they start rebuilding when it's dawn. They will swim very close to you so I suggest a 12 gauge. I think it is safe to saythat you missed my previous thread on this little situation. I shall make it hot and link it for your viewing pleasure. Look Here |

I didn't think whore houses were legal in this state? Good luck finding someone to tape it for you, though, I'm going to pass. Let's hope this outing works out better for you than it did for shaunofthedead's little fo "beaver lodge."

I had beaver dams on two creeks on my property.
A friends dad, a real old timer who used to trap back in the day, came over and showed us how to set a Conibear Trap on top of the dam, scrape back enough material to get the water running under the trap and using 6 or 8 20" or so sticks pushed into the ground to form a v-shaped gauntlet or guide on the deeper side of the dam, the beaver will go up between the sticks to investigate and get caught in the trap. In my case, the Mama beaver got caught and the rest of the tribe moved out and have not come back, which was exactly what he said would happen. They've been gone for about 6 years now since we used this method... :-) |
