So..somebody on our little hometown board screwed me big time.
On a deal that has been in the works for almost three weeks.Everytime I tried to meet with this someone there was an excuse or a cancellation. one of which i completely understood. Finally we agreed just two or three days ago over a p.m. ( im so aggravated i cant remember at the moment) that we would do the sale of said rifle at a class that we are both going to be at this weekend. So yesterday after said aggreement I get an I.M. saying do you still want the rifle ? I got back with him saying of course i do. Well this evening I get another message Saying sorry i sold the rifle. Give me a break. obviously since i dont constantly check my pm's because i have a job means i missed out. oh btw i gave this dude my phone number my email. and said if at anytime you are ready i will come get the rifle. this was before we agreed to do the sale this weekend are there people out there that think they are too good for a phone call ? .People please dont back out on deals. it isnt right and it isnt fair. Bottom line.,What goes around comes around. Book..if i am out of line here or this needs to be moved to the georgia for sale section please do so. thanks |

i'm gonna retract what i said a little while ago. family emergencies are one of those things that supercedes silly hobbies like guns.
poison is a stand up guy...having the balls to post in this thread says a lot. furthermore, he speaks the truth about good deals. i picked up a rifle from him a while back, and it has been an excellent weapon...and i got it at a more-than-fair price. finally, i don't see where OP has any room to gripe if the deal wasn't even struck on this board. ymmv. |

But hey guys don't worry I doubt any of you will ever strike a deal with me here anyway. I do most of my trading/selling on the Hide.
Also I was in line to take cmshoots class this weekend. There would obviously be a problem with hitman with the language he used in the PMs towards me and the hostility of this thread. So I'm backing out and forfeiting the fee for the class. So hopefully CM will tell someone they are in soon. -Sean |

and i told you i was sorry for your loss and that it was no big deal to wait until next week for the rifle. then we agreed to do the sale at the class sunday. over a private message. it was a done deal. Now its not and its over with. No big deal. all this thread was about was a psa. that was it. I was not going to reveal who it was. |

I would still like to have you attend the class. If I never got around folks that T'ed me off, or that I didn't get along with, I'd be in a group of 1 at all times!
Let me know ASAP if you're serious, so that I can try to fill your spot. I need to have an even number in the class, so I need to have that spot filled. |

reading the pm's, i think there was misunderstanding on both parts. even so, hitman, i think if you were that hot-to-trot over the rifle, it seems as though you could have responded sooner than 4 days between pm's. if you didn't respond within a couple of days, i think i would have done the same thing sean did in this case.
i know people have lives outside of the forum, but i can't imagine not being able to follow up with a pending deal on the table within a 4 day time frame. -matt |

MAYBE i could have responded a little quicker. but the only reason i didnt is because the way i read the message it seemed like it was gonna go down at the class.
ive been trying to get this rifle since early november. like the 8th-10. ive been wanting this rifle for that long. why would i have changed my mind ? |

I'm sorry to see this happened. I respect both of you guys a lot. I've dealt with both of you and you are stand-up, good people. In fact, I could not have asked for better people with whom to do business. So, it is very sad to read this. Sucks to think two good people aren't happy with each other. 
The comments about the truth being in the middle are often correct because of perception. Each person will have their own perception of a situation. It is their own understanding of a situation that might differ from the understanding the other party may have. Hell, I'm rambling. I think you know what I am trying to say though. At least I hope you do. I'm locking this for now. I don't see a point in the thread continuing. I hope you gentlemen agree with that decision. I hope you guys can get beyond this.
