So I know there are more than a couple people here who have, what some (not me!) may call, a obsession with bladed weapons, I'd like to ask for some advice.
I'm looking at getting an EDC folder blade (~3in or less), something that won't break the bank (sub $100), but is good quality. I had a Benchmade Mini-Griptillian for a few months but it got lost when I moved. I really liked it and I've almost purchased the same knife but I believe variety is the spice of life, plus I'd feel a little lame buying the same knife twice.
What do you guys recommend and why? |

I love my Zero Tolerance 0350. It's barely over the blade length you specified and barely over the price cap. It's a great knife. You should give it a look if you haven't already. Haven't seen that one, I'll check it out. Thanks. I loved my Mini-Grip too, but I kinda want a different blade. Try something new. |

You might be able to get the ZT 0350 for cheaper from this guy on blade forums. Here is the link.
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=748363 Another suggestion is the Spyderco Paramilitary. I seen some for around $100.00 or a few dollars more. http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_detail.html?s=SP81GP2 |

I'd almost rather pay a bit more and get a blade made from one steel. Also, I should of mentioned this I guess, thumb hole knifes don't really float my boat. I prefer the studs. wow that sounds wrong.

I forgot to add the Kershaw Blur as another option. Ive been carrying one for a long time now and i like how thin the knife is. It sits in your pocket very comfortably but still has a good handle. +1 for the kershaw blur...iam in the market for a large folder 3.5 + with g-10 scales |

Anytime that I leave the house, my SOG Flash II is in my pocket. IIRC, it was ~$60 shipped.
If you have an idea of what you want, Smokey Mountain Knife Works has great prices and excellent service. If you have no idea what you want, it's easy to get lost in everything on their website. www.smkw.com |

I currently carry the spyderco tenacious...decent quality and cheap. There is even a smaller version (Persistance?)

I like the ZT0350, but man I just saw the new ESEE folder thats coming out. hmmm, maybe if I save my lunch money...... It's going to be a beast! I put my pre-order in last month I really want that knife, but it almost looks a little intense for EDC use. Then again, some say I'm kind of an intense guy. |

I'm seriously considering that ESEE, but I really do like that ZT though. hmmm...... How much $ are you looking to spend and how much time are you willing to wait? The ZT 0350 is about $110 and is available now while the ESEE is < 200 but is not available until December at the earliest. |

Yeah I like the price of the ZT but that ESEE is so damn cool. If I wait, I'll be able to afford the knife, it's not that much more than the ZT, say $70 or so. I'm still not 100% sure either way TBH. |
