Just set my res for next year. Going back for the 3rd time. Something about that place cant get enough of.........
So anyone going down during spring break? And for those who have gone what was ur favorite and not so favorite parts? The wife and i luv epcot!!! |

Are you going with kids? I've taken my kids down there 2x, the 3rd will be our last. No point in taking 16 year old kids down there.
Disney is great at what they do, which is raping your pocketbook. I've got to hand it to them they have it down to a science. They do keep the place safe, though, a difference between them and Six Flags. |

Lots of favorites...
The last time we went was in January 2003 for the Disney marathon and my son was 5 years old. We signed him up for one of the kids clubs for the evening and went to eat at Le Cellier in Epcot. Loved their pretzel breadsticks and had some amazing rosemary chicken I think their baby centers are fantastic - well maintained, clean, comfortable. I'd love to go back sometime and maybe stay at Shades of Green. With four kids though it would cost quite a fortune. |

I have always gone during a time when they were having the Holiday stuff. Nov. and the first two weeks of Dec. being my favorite time to go.
In the past we have went when it is decorated for Christmas. Did the extra Christmas party and parades and the Epcot food and wine festival that is usually in the last few days before it ends. Of course the Lights they do in Hollywood Studios is pretty neat to see during that time of the year also. I enjoy seeing all the little changes they make during the Christmas season. Some years they dress the bears at the Country Bear Jamboree in Christmas clothes. They add some Christmas decorates to the Christmas Jingle Jungle Parade in Animal Kingdom also. The Hotels around the Boardwalk near Epcot all do up their lobby's special for Christmas that is worth a look as does the Grand Floridian. We usually try to stay at the Boardwalk Inn or around there somewhere. We always booked at The Land Garden Grill in Epcot for a Character diner. Probably my favorite dinner of that type. Last year we went for the second time in Oct. and did a week including the Halloween party and parade. Everything is decorated for fall also. in. I love to go to Disney. |

Not the Hyatt but OK and it had a kitchen and cable and close to the parks. If I go back I'll do that again. Sharing a hotel room with the kids is not a vacation, nor is burning $400 a night in the resort. Adults need to recharge their spirits, too. |
| I or rather we have been every year(often more than once) for the past 10 years, if you are going every year or every other year, I highly rec DVC, it will pay for itself many times over. We stay at BWV usually and if we don't go, we rent our points out. WL and AKL are both favorites as well. Plans are to be there the week before this year with kids and grandkids. It's more fun w/o kids....LOL. Staying at the Epcot resorts, we walk home from Disney studios or Epcot....no buses for me. IM for more info if you want |

I think you get so much more offered to ya by staying a resort. and for just over 2500 at prot orleans for 5 nights and 5 days of tickets with park hoppers access to all 6 parks dining included and travel ins aint that bad to me. esp knowing that i can drink some and not have to worrie about driving back.. just my 2 cents..... And yes we r taking my lil girl. who is 7 and is a big dare devil. cant find a ride she want ride. and we luv taking her to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. Not my girl but here is what they do.... I think i am going to do the season restruant in epcot along with others. and prob due a princess dinner for my daughter. |
| renting a room through a Disney Vacation Club member puts the cost for a nice room in walking distance to 2 parks at about $100 a night with no taxes involved depending on what time of year you go. FWIW, Disney also owns a resort at Hilton Head and Vero Beach. |

We stay at the cabins at Fort Wilderness every year for the daughters BD. A bit expensive, but worth it in our opinions. nice to have seperate rooms and the kitchen. We also rent a golf cart to get around and to the boats and such, very convenient but mo money. If you go in October, definately do the not so spooky halloween thing, less money than a full day ticket, you get in at 4pm, they kick everyone else out at 7, we went two nights this year and the wait for rides was non-existant, we walked on to most rides. They hand out candy too, and you get to meet a lot of characters that aren't always around, which is fun. I love Disney! |
