| Ive been doing a little reading and I'm not reading too much positive stuff. I'm looking to buy a couple of lowers and possibly a barrel if I find some nice deals. What should I be expecting. This is my FIRST show and I don't know what to expect as far as prices go. Is it a waste of my time? |

Don't waste your money on Eastman.
Price fixing is rampant, and is a requirement for dealers to attend!!!!! Gun Runner shows are the same way and require dealers to not undercut each other. The only show that has any type of competition is RK shows. RK will be in Marietta, at Jim Miller Park. Rich |

When there are shops selling stripped lowers at $100 and ones that stock quality stuff like Daniel Defense why bother with a show. Having someone with knowledge and doesn't charge you to kick you in the balls is yet another reason to skip the Eastman shows.
Eastman shows are fixed and run by assholes. I say this having participated on both sides of the tables at them. |

Cherokee Pawn of Alpharetta is going to have a few tables. They usually have some deals and end up with <25% of what they show up with. I think you mean Cherokee Coin and Pawn. I know, Cherokee Gun and Pawn, has been banned from the Eastman shows. Cherokee Gun does RK shows exclusively Rich |

Man those are not the responses I wanted to see. I've been waiting to buy a lower trying to avoid FFL fee. The only place I know of in my area is Eagle Gun range. I'm in the Warner Robins area. If you know of a shop that I could look into let me know.
Thanks for all the feedback. It reiterates what Ive read so far... |

He is $25. Right under my nose. Thanks a lot, Ill have to check it out this weekend. |

| Oakridge Custom Finishing on Feagin Mill Rd in WR does $15 transfers. Yes they are an FFL, their primary business is Duracoat. BTW, I'm going to the Perry show even if it is Eastman because no one else comes to our area. Since you've never been to a show let me know if you want to ride along. |

Cherokee had full lowers for $389 I think at the RK show at the Farmers Market. Did not see any stripped ones there. They will be at the Jim Miller Park show this weekend.
I have found that while the NATC show can be a PITA - there is more tactical stuff there usually. |

Pretty good sized crowd there this afternoon. Found a few good deals, including 4 new PMags (30rd) for $11.95 each and a Troy folding rear sight (also new) for $95.
Gun prices overall were about what you'd expect (i.e., no better than at the local stores); same for the ammo prices. Not nearly as many private sales to be had as usual, or maybe I missed the bulk of them this morning. |

Like most other posters here , I have stopped doing Eastmans with his continued price fixing as a policy for dealers. Eastman has been giving away the same knife for 15 years now . ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() . Great way to drive away customers 1 at a timeThe big vendors at Eastman's shows are just as responsible for the price fixing as Matt is. Screw 'em all. |
