If a person was to post an ad on another local board that was factually um lacking and be politely nudged toward correcting said ad, should that person then post an ad on the EE with the same inaccuracies under the same screen name?
Is this person a slime or a tard? |

judging by the markings on the upper, it does appear to be a colt upper. I am the one (NWSharpshooter) who pointed out that it was a parts gun and not a colt. I also had a discussion with him about a week prior as he had questions for me in reference to the preban colt I have listed. I honestly think the guy just does not know that much about it. He asked me a lot of questions, and was very polite and honest, and just came across as somebody who doesn't really know that much about what he has. That was actually the reasoning I had when I brought it up that it was a parts gun. My guess, is he bought it from either a dishonest gun shop, or more likely a dishonest private seller, who told him that it was in fact a colt. It's funny that the barrel, barrel ext, upper, bcg are all colt, (basically everything that really matters) and yet it still is not a colt. What's the quickest way to cut the value of a colt upper in half? Put it on a non colt lower. He would probably have better luck selling them separate if the barrel wasn't post ban config. I feel bad for the guy. |
