I asked over in the Armory section and never got a bite.
I got a decent deal on a Polytech in a Troy cage that I would like to swap out for an original style stock. The Troy looks and feels great but I'd like to take it back to a more original configuration. I'm not as familiar with the M14 as I am with the AR and I'd like not to break something taking it apart, and I'm not sure what I will need to order to go back to a wood stock. Anyone got an idea of what a used Troy MCS with stock and pistol grip would be worth? Anyone help me? |

they're pricey...that is for sure. i think new they're $450-$500 ish. like all things, it would depend on condition. if it is clean, it may be worth $375 to a buyer. if you want to sell it right now, put it up for $300 and someone should bite.
did you buy brassringhood's polytech that was on GON for like 8 years? what constitutes a "good deal" if i can ask? |

You can also go HERE and download installation instructions. You will need a front band, rear sight assembly and possibly a front sight to restore your Poly Tech. |

I got 1200 in the gun with cage, 6 magazines, 100 rounds of surplus, and troy iron sights |

I'm in Monticello, but travelling a little won't be a problem. The rifle was supposedly built by Hook but I can't say that for sure. I'd like to know whether the gun has had the USGI bolt mod done and just an idea of it's condition and quality. I will order the parts and let you know when they come in. Any recomendations on who to get the parts from, and whose parts to get? |
