I already asked about this about a week ago in the gear forums, but wanted to get another set of opinions on it from the GA folks.
Anyone here own or have experience with atlanco/tru-spec gear? is it decent quality (ie, not going to fall apart if I start rolling around in the dirt with it)? specifically, i am looking at their molle pouches for use on an FLC. |

Anything that I wasn't issued and had to buy myself (which is a LOT of stuff) was Tru Spec. Not by choice or anything...but the surplus store I got discounts from is a distributer of Tru Spec and hardly anything else. It's all held up over the past two years except for some ACU bottoms that I ripped up on barbed wire...and well yeah...barbed wire is barbed wire. Please don't ask me how that happened. I like them. The only thing I don't like is that on one of the boonie hats I have..the chin cord seems like it would come clean off if given a good tug. But as far as regular running, washing, mud, dirt, diving, crawling goes...they've held.

A buddy of mine works for Atlantico and they are the producers of Tru-Spec. They make some nice stuff. They have a jacket line that was introduced a few months back that is really nice. As for the quality, they make really good stuff and the business has been growing pretty good. There is an Army Navy store in the business park in Marietta, close to their Atlantico wharehouse that has a lot of their stuff if not all their stuff available. They also have blemish stuff there too for even less. Worth it to check it out.
I am about to start carrying the Atlantico hats with the velcro on them. Nice stuff. |

Hodges Army Navy on 41 & S 120 Yep. Seemed decent when I was in the store looking at it, but wanted to get opinions beyond the store shelf about durability. Can't recall what their pricing was on the tru-spec stuff, fairly competitive? For example: SAW pouch Double M4 Pouch on the chance that someone remembered what their prices were at Hodges... |

| All four of my SAW pouches in Iraq were Tru-Spec, and they held up perfectly. I'm not a SAW gunner anymore, but I still use them for NVGs, binoculars and other assorted stuff. They've been through hell and back a few times, and haven't shown the first fray or loose stitch yet. |
