Does anyone know how to submit an application (online) to work at Glock in Smyrna?

Does anyone have any inside scoop about working there?

Last I knew, Glock was under a hiring freeze.  That info was learned around the beginning of the year.

You really need to know someone up there. Or.....just go up there and get an application.

I've always wondered as well, I think i'll just call and ask if they're hiring.

The pay is low and only a few good jobs. The guys in GSSF work most weekends running matches. I talked with the Director of training and the pay was about 50% of my current salary. I'll pass.

You really have to love what you do- armorers start out at $12/hour, and it is an absolute 40-hour week.  That's $24,960 a year.  You would spend most of your time servicing police weapons.  VERY repetitive work.  If you don't mind the pay and like doing the same exact thing at work every day, it may be for you.

I think I might pass.

I've heard from someone else that it's kind of a meat grinder too.

I did work at Glock years ago. Think it was in 92-93. I worked in QC and it was very boring after the first week. Pay at the time was very low. I left to go work in a bar making in one night what I did all week at Glock.

They are not under a hiring freeze last time I heard.

They like hiring retired LE/MIL guys who just love doing the work. IE guys with a pension who still want something to do.

I've been told that it has it's moments but it is highly repetitive work.

I know that Loner had applied with them not sure exactly what position he applied for but they told him they were under a hiring freeze.

Um.....yeah. That's what you tell the [experienced individual] that you don't want to hire.

Sometimes it comes down to who you know.

I helped a buddy get a job there fairly recently (well, within the last year).  Oh, I think he would have gotten the job without my help but I knew some of the guys in charge of giving the thumbs up or down and I merely put in a good word.  My friend isn't there anymore.  As already stated the work is very monotonous and for not much money at all.
