We have all seen the super ugly Glock Carbine conversions before.  They are hideous!   Well this conversion rig doesn't add anything to the Glock pistol and gives you a tactical platform to use at a minutes notice.

You do have to register your Glock as an SBR, but once you do, you can convert it to and from a rifle in seconds.

Check this out.  It looks very nice, and they are for sale now, and it isn't vaporware like some of the older ones.

The website that sells them is...http://www.turn-keytactical.com/products.html

If they could figure out how to get a red dot on it with a repeatable zero they might be on to something.

Then again, there are some guys on the HTF (not me too slow ) who can shoot better than that with a standard Glock.

I was expecting to see a picture of a grenade when I opened this thread.

A stock like that would be fun for shits and giggles, but not worth the tax stamp.

I can vouch for the comment about arfcommers outshooting that guy without the stock.

I know the guy in the video....Rick Porter-designed the stabilizer. He pushes it hard to local LE but has sold little. I shot it 2 years ago with a G18 in it. It was a neat gimmick and fun to shoot with the FA G18 in it. I'll agree...not worth the tax stamp.

at least the herra conversion makes the Glock look like a MP7 or something kinda cool before being useless

I'd be more interested if it didn't require the class 3 crap. (If im going to go through the trust and tax stamp, it'll be for a can or sbr.) This would be handy for zombies. Hell, i guess you could buy one and save it for the invasion. I doubt they'll be worried about your tax stamp when hordes of the living dead are eating everyone's brains.

yeah I've seen these kinds of things for 1911s that i would probably at least try once if i didn't have to tack on an extra $200 out side of the kit cost for the stamp.

LOL...hey how about moving the targets back so they are hard to hit!

Sheesh!

Still, I think it is sad this sort of thing is a registered item.

I don't understand why anyone would want this. It defeats the main purpose and strength of the pistol which is concealability and the ability to quickly engage a target. If you wanted a small caliber concealable weapon, why not just buy an MP5 or something else.

It also pissed me off that he took shots at targets that were outside the right side of the dirt backstop.

Just build an SBR out of a pistol caliber AR-15.  I built one that takes the same mags as my Glock - yes, I like my tupperware gun!

The marketing is just odd.

Seems like a 9mm or .40 carbine would be easier to acquire and more effective with its longer barrel.

I did the same thing for the same reasons.  I got the Oly Arms carbine that takes Glock .40 mags.  Then I sent it on a trip to FL and had it turned into a semi auto version of the LRM-169.  The only downside, which to me is a positive, is that it is a dedicated unit; can't trade uppers, etc.  It is a SBR, so it would have been nice to throw different uppers on it, but I really like what I got.  And it is quiet.  Would have shot in your subgun match at creekside, but I will be out of town.

I'm using the Olympic Arms dedicated lower and running a 7.5" .40 S&W upper on it.  It's a lot of fun and pretty darn accurate - slight chance I may make it to the sub-gun match with it.

Cade is right - it is a dedicated lower.  But you can swap between Oly's 9mm and .40 uppers if you wanted.

Have we forgotten The Man From Uncle and their jim dandy Walthers that could be converted in very much the same way?
