I need a total overhaul with something that looks better than what I got. If anyone wants to steer me into the right direction or take on this project helping another HTF member, let me know. IM me or post here if you can help out or to send me in the right direction. I would like something that I can make changes easily and add products as they become available.

My company was building a fairly complicated online store, we paid roughly 5 grand (half of the 10 grand to complete site) to this design company. Long story short they 70% completed the site and went out of business. We were left with our money gone and a non working site. We searched locally for web designers but found no one who even had the programming skills to fix it. Then I discovered getafreelancer.com Basically with this site you sign up, create a project detailing exactly what you want done and how you want the site to look etc..Then developers will begin to bid on your project saying how much money it will cost and how long. You will get several bids, like 30 or more. They have a rating system where people rate the developer once their project is complete. This way you can see what they've done and how happy other customers are with them. Some developers have over 100 ratings...I would say that about 90% of these developers are sitting in India so they will do it for CHEAP. Hundreds of dollars not thousands like we paid initially. Long story short we posted our project, got over 30 bids...I carefully chose a developer and went from there. Basically once you choose someone you set up an escrow or what they call a "milestone" payment. So basically you deposit the bid amount of what ever developer you chose into that escrow. Freelancer.com holds the money until the project is complete. Once it's completed and to your liking you release the money and rate how it went. The developers we are using now are AMAZING..they are fixing things and adding new features to a broken site that I thought was hopeless. You contact back and forth via email and it works very well. This has really been life savor for us, we thought out site will never come up but it should now go live within a week or two. |
