ok it's not been a good day. first the basement flooded, then I went to lowes to get a dehumidifier and the back of the car had a couple of inches of water in it. then on the way to the gym the commander ALSO had an 1" of water on the floor board.
I was down stairs continueing to clean up and went to get a popcycle. opened the chest freezer and the stuffon the top was dethawed!!!! oh yea we just put over $400 of meat in there this weekend!!! I took the side panel off and the compressor was burning hot to the touch! I unplugged it. while it was cooling we were desperatly trying to get all the meat to neighbor's freezers. so it t normal for the compressor to get that hot? how do i get it working again? whenit cools down will it start again? anyone repair GE freezer? |

They get preatty hot when they have been running...chest freezers dont have a condensor fan motor so they tend to run a little hot.....how old a freezer? |
