FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. –– Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office officials arrested one of their own in connection with alleged financial identity fraud. Authorities said Sgt. Taryn Johnson faces felony charges for financial identity fraud. Johnson was arrested Saturday at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport while returning from a Maryland trip. Police officials said a Cumming woman filed a complaint alleging Johnson committed financial identity fraud. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office opened a criminal investigation and placed Johnson on administrative leave. Police said they found probably cause to charge Johnson with two felonies –– financial identity fraud and violation of oath of office. Officials said Johnson had been employed by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department since 1999 and had most recently served as a supervisor in the Forsyth County Jail. She has been released on $11,200 bond. She sure is smiling a lot to be going to the jail that she worked in. Honestly The only thing I could think about when I saw the pickture was the Charlie Murphy Skit with Rick James in it.
