Hi,

I posted this earlier today in the M1 section, but I tend to get better (and friendlier) information here.

I do not own and M1A and I am hoping to quickly correct that. I prefer to buy guns directly from the store or individual, not over the net unless it is a helluva deal. I am interested in the Scout model and Adventure Outdoors will be selling them for $1519 plus a case of ammo (think it is actually a battle pack).  Is this a good price or should I keep shopping? I have checked the EE and gun broker as well.

The are having a sale starting the 29th on Springfields of all kind.

Thanks!

pretty dang good buy if it includes the battle pack.  don't forget to add tax...that will be another $100, but still better than what you see on the local EE

edit: the socom II i shot is easily the most accurate battle rifle i have ever played with.  the 10" gong at 100 yards is dead meat, even with irons when i get to play with that rifle.

I sure would like to know where they are getting them. I'm still waiting on my first NEW M1a of the year. Luckily enough the Springfield rep is coming by tomorrow.

How did you find out about this? was it via email, if so, could you please shoot me a copy?

ETA: I was the owner of a Socom 16 for a few years, and damn was it badass. I had to trade it in for something even more badass, but I will have one again.
