geez people! is there a point in having 8 fawn threads on the front page of the htf? getting a little old!

I just locked seven stupid, childish "fawn" threads. Some of the participants are the guys I would typically expect to find participating in the more juvenile activities of the HTF. I was sorry to see some of my friends joining in the childish fun. I guess I just don't get the humor or the sense in taking up forum space for such stupid shit. Gee, I kinda thought this was a place to ask where someone can get help building his AK, or maybe asking for some other kind of help. Or maybe a place to discuss the upcoming Creekside events, the need to help the Bartow County ranges with their possible legal/zoning issues, etc. I guess most of the guys here would rather this become another childish General Discussion forum. Sad. Please, no more fawn threads OR anything similar. I'll start asking Site Staff to lock people's accounts for further spamming of the board. I appreciate your cooperation and understanding. If you want a kiddie playground go to GD and play with all the other children as much as you'd like. Mark |

No worries, man. I'm already over it. You are not a guy I worry about. A good friend lost his father unexpectedly Sunday. Guy was only 51 years old and in otherwise great health. Blood clot he didn't even know he had went to his heart and stopped it. I'm trying to get ready to head to the funeral. So, maybe I just don't have any sense of humor at all this AM. So, I very much understand blowing off steam or having an off day. I have my share of them too. Thanks for your understanding though. Have a good one. Mark |

Please don't ban me or think less of me, but I thought some of the posts and threads were very funny. I do understand enough is enough, but it gave me a laugh during some very unfunny times––something that I personally could use more of. I saw it as people being creative (Wal-mart post) and just slightly juvenille.
I think this forum is extremely valuable and enjoy my time and the knowledge I gain from it––thank you all. |

Some of them WERE funny as hell. The point is that when there are EIGHT threads on the front page devoted to this topic it is excessive. If people would keep the stuff in one thread it wouldn't be a problem. I'd have the same issue and reaction if there were 7 or 8 threads of different motivational posters. Make sense? |

I agree with both of you. I also must apologize for starting this mess. Hope everything starts going a little better for ya BookHound. |
