Thought I would ask the hometown crew. I'm looking for a good/decent light to mount on my ar. Looking for the vertical grip type that is all one piece and a rail mount. What will give me the best bang for my buck and where do I get it? I know surefire is good but 500ish is a bit pricey.  Thanks

I keep looking at the ITAC TDL1.  I don't know anyone who has actually used one.

What is your reasoning for wanting a one piece grip/light?  I think I have decided to go with either a pentagon with a presure switch or a surefire 300 in front of my normal forward grip.

Check out the the Surefire pricing here.  $450 out the door and free shipping.   M910A surefire light.  (Red, Blue, or White LED)

I have bought two from them before.  Great prices and fast and free shipping.

I like the one piece idea.  I think the grip would give me control over the gun for the intended use of close stuff. The grip would be taken off of the gun for daylight use so no prone or roof top shooting in matches with it on.

Where can you get one of those now?

I know you want all one piece, but for the money. G2 Nitrolon $35, Daniel Defense offset light mount $50, and Tango Down VFG $60. Plus you don't have the hassle of the pressure switch which honestly comes on when you don't want it to and sometimes doesn't activate when you squeeze with gloves on. I like the thumb activated much more. Virtually no chance you'll give yourself away when you don't want to. Also you have no wires hanging off. Just my 2 cents.

You can always check out ebay for surefire M900 or M910's. They usually go in the $300 range sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. There is also a similar type set up made by Rico, reviews for them are pretty good. Here is a link to one on ebay and they are usually under $200.

Alot of the ones on Ebay are Chinese knockoffs.  I would be careful on there.
