I've been saving this post for a Friday night all week. There was a thread about Whale Wars where everyone was talking about buying a boat and going out after the whale wars crew, but I came up with a way to really get them where it hurts... and I don't think GD gets it.

I support what whale wars is doing.
If the can save one whale I am all for it. I have done a lot of traveling at peak times just to try to find one while diving. So far the only ones I have seen are down town. I will be flying to Thailand at the end of October to try again. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I try not to get into conservationist things because I too enjoy the outdoors and its creatures but I also enjoy my modern life style.
The thing that pisses me off about Sea Shepherd is (in my non-sailor opinion) their absolute incompetency in running a ship. I think its a disaster waiting to happen, both for the Shepherds and Japanese. Legally, I think DKing has something, and that thread also shows why i NEVER venture into GD. |

They are terrorist plain and simple and even worse they have the Animal Planet glorifying it to everyone who will buy into it including the kiddies. Sooner or later they will throw some acid cannisters and a crew will retalliate with full magazines from an AK, then you will get to see the enviromental and cable TV community give them an undeserved hero's farewell. I like whales, but the mindset of these people trying to save them is a little off. They don't seem to place the same value on human life. I can't stand Peta or Obama and love the fact that they got pissed he swatted a fly on TV, a FLY, shows everybody what nutcases they are. They also go after fisherman and hunters with the same zeal in some places. If they stopped hunting whales today, I don't think they'd sit home and be happy with that, there is something else on the list, like maybe deer in GA.
Excellent idea for a lawsuit though. |

I like whales and all, and I never like to hear about an animal nearing extinction (even though these whales are nowhere near that). However, PIRACY IS PIRACY IS PIRACY, and the law is the law. When you stoop to the level of turning a blind eye to illegal activities just because of the cause, you stoop to the same level of those that we call "liberals" here- they allow emotion to guide their thoughts and actions rather than facts or the rule of law.
