I am looking to buy some cabinets for the kitchen (BTW, as cheap as possible, not junk, but cheap) and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with RTA (ready to assemble) cabinets and did you purchase them here locally? I know the big drawback is the time to assemble them. Any others? Also, I am looking for a distributor in the Atlanta area to save $300 bucks on shipping. Any recommendation in the Atlanta area? FYI, the solid wood (plywood cabinets, solid doors, frames) RTAs with raised panels are priced lower or similar to the particle board cabinets (solid door and frames) with flat panels. I am thinking that for a couple of days of assembly, I would rather have solid wood. One company I spoke with will assemble them for $200 bucks, but I would rather do it my self and be able to use glue and screws. |

I installed kitchen cabinets to make my way through the first year of college. some homes were $150k and some were multi million.
all those shops went out of business. home depot and lowes put them all out of business. they get the same quality just in bulk so they become much cheaper. I would suggest going there and seeing what they have. |
