Dad's running to an estate auction on Thurs, and one of the things that is coming up is a 1997 Ford F-150 Extended Cab, with what looks to be all the bells and whistles.  The truck has 62k on it, and I'm telling Dad to go no more than $4500.

I know both front tires are flat, but we'll get new ones on there before we haul it away, if Dad gets the truck.

There's also a 2000 Mustang going at the same auction with 4938 miles!

Well I cna tell you this ..... I had a 99 150 with none of that add on bullshit on there.

Geico totaled it out ..... they cut me a check for 5500 and change for the truck.

Had less than 80K on the odometer

I wish I would have seen the 5500 .... 3500 went to pay it off, 1000 went to deductable, and I got the rest.

Geico does a whole big assesment of what the retail price is of the vehicle before they come up with a payoff number on it, and then pay the retail price.

I would tell dad no more than about 4 grand if you are looking to make money.

If that is an Ohio truck ... I would go no more than 3500 ..... could have rust on it ..... most people who have trucks up north dont use thenm in the summer but use them more heavilly in the winter time when they will rust faster.
