If you don't like the "ass rape" prices you should open a shop and sell them at cost.

Supply and demand is a bitch.

I guess you would not be interested in the sale I was about to list on the EE then...

"Free complete AR-15 lower with purchase of ass rape (lube not included) $400 plus shipping and handling".

I agree.  Supply and Demand can be a real bitch - and a great marketing strategy too!  I didn't mean anything derogatory towards anyone in particular.  Although I do seem to remember a similar situation recently where all of a sudden there was some crazy notion that there would be no more gasoline available, even though the "supply" was never in any real danger.  That created an artificial "demand" then before you know it, gas was $4+ a gallon.  That lasted just long enough for someone, somewhere, to make a pretty penny.....then once people got out of their panic buying mode, you could fill that Detroit gas hog up for $40 vs the $95 the week before.  Supply and Demand......maybe.  Exploitation......you decide.

Who's getting ass raped in this situation?

The dealers are much like the gas station operators when gas was hitting $4.00 a gallon. We have no control over what we pay with today's tight supply.

We are getting jerked around by our suppliers and they are raising the price each time we reorder.

I called all of my suppliers today and located exactly ZERO lowers at any price. The price dealers are paying is going up while the supply is getting tighter.

I'd much rather  sell 100 lowers and makes $20.00 each knowing another 100 lowers is just a simple phone call away but that's far from the situation we face in these times.

I know that most of the dealers are in the bad situation right now because they have the buyers, but they can't get the supply. I think gun business is the only industry in the country that don' t need the bailout. We are talking about when people doesn't have job, can't pay the bills ,but still come up with money to buy guns and ammo.

If you are looking for the Pre-Election price, just forget about it,because all of the news on the internet are posting about the new permanent ban, ammo restriction with expiration date, ammo tracking #,  magazine ban and so on....

If you can get a completed lower at a non-ass-raping price you still get rape on the mag, ammo, BCG and the upper, so  lube it up....

I'm just curious as to what a non-ass rape price is. $250? $300? $400?

What about the labor cost for getting all those little parts in there and working right
I have no issues with folks charging what the market will bare.
What does frustrate me are the horders who swipe all the good stuff from the stores before I get there.
Oh well nature of the beast

What Labor? Hell, I don't know how other people do it but I throw all that shit in a pillowcase and hit it with a baseball bat. Three or four whacks and it's all together.

Oh I agree ... pay someone for assembly.... but when someone wants 500 for a used complete lower .....

I mean 300 to 350 is what I would figure as an appropriate price on a complete lower.  And not an ass raping price either.

$350 to $450 seem fair to me for a new lower.  It is shocking what some folks are paying for used gear on EE
I mean it's USED AR parts not a Certified Pre Owned Viking Helmet or some thing really cool.

Just wait till the next tac match ...... I am working on something special just for it.  Especially since when I got in the accident last night the DeKalb officer saw me roll out of the truck and draw down so fluently they gave me an application for the SWAT team.  So Fro, Mark and myself are going to squad up and start kicking in doors.  Ive got the shield and am going in first all dressed in black with the viking horns, and Fro is going to be behind me in the stack with his 22 mag, and Mark is gonna pull up the rear and just throw his rifle.  Freaking NINJA VIKINGS baby.

So my first question is where in the hell are you buying lowers for $100?
My second question is what kind of stock are you using at $120?

Full retail price on everything would be about $150 for a lower [pre-panic price for a Smith or Rock River, less for a CMMG or Stag], LPK for $60, Stock for $70. That is way more like $280 before Labor. Again, these are retail prices.

To anyone concerned about prices:
Want to play in Black Guns? Like the man says, don't hate the player, hate the game. Things are tough all over.

Are you selling LPK's for $60.00? I wish I could find them on the wholesale market for $60.00.

PM details if you don't mind. I need a slice of that pie!!!!

I agree, and if I were a dealer I would hate to be caught with stock that I paid more for than what the current market says it is worth.

This is NOT local and NOT currently in stock... BUT, it is one of the better deals I've found and my guess it they will begin shipping in a month or so.  Aim is a great company to do business with.

Complete CMMG lower (less stock/tube) for $208 SHIPPED.

I've been very happy with my first CMMG lower and have one of the above on order from Aim.

And its not complete either.  Do they include the buffer stop and spring or do you have to supply your own with that?  Basically that is a 90 dollar lower with a 60 dollar LPK installed .... so 150 bucks and paying someone 50 bucks to install the LPK, and 8 bucks for shipping.

Let me clarify, it's a lower with lower parts kit installed by the factory.  And yes, they used to be $169 or so until recently.  As for the buffer stop and spring - it is my understanding they are included in the LPK.

I still think it's a great deal from one of our forum sponsors and wanted to pass the info along...

And let me know where you are buying CMMG lowers these days for $90.

CMMG lower is the same as an Essential Arms lower, they are 90 bucks each.  Here is the deal on those, you are limited to three, and its a wait till you get it type deal.

The CMMG lower isnt a bad deal, but it wasnt exactly what the OP was asking about.  I dont considder a lower complete unless I can take it out of the box, put it on an upper and shoot it.

Fair enough... I liked the deal because for me a standard stock would have been sold or traded off anyway.  Aim carries the tube and various stocks as well.
