Hey guys,
just trying to get some stuff for my new SBR and have decided that Im going to get the DD Lite 7.0 rail. Problem is, I don't have the tools to put it on. I hear that the castle nut requires a modified spanner wrench to install it. I know that I should buy them, but don't want to do the job on my own, since I've never removed a barrel/FSB before. Anyone in the Kennesaw/Marietta/Roswell area have the tools that would be willing to help a fella out? If any of you would recommend another rail, please list and WHY. I'm also considering the Omega 7.0 due to ease of installation. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks, Wiskey |

All the rails mentioned are great rails, but don't overlook Troy Industries as well.
Both of these are very economical and quality rails. They are two peice rails so they don't require you to remove the gas block or barrel. MRF, is a uninterupted, free float rail that does require you to cut off the delta ring.http://troyind.com/mrf.html You can get this one at PSI. MRF-DI (drop in)http://troyind.com/MRFDI.html This one is very similar to the Omega. |

I got the Omega for the exact reasons you stated - no tools required. Once I figured out how to retract the ring far enough, installation took 5 minutes. How do you like it? Have you had any issues with it? I like it - no issues so far. If you're ever in the N. Atl suburbs (i.e. Alpharetta) or at Creekside when I go to shoot, you're welcome to take a look. I can show you how it asembles and mounts. |
